Covid 19 Information

Update 8th January 2021

The British Acupuncture Council have confirmed that Acupuncture is classed as a medical service during Lockdown 3.0 which means that Amanda is still able to provide Acupuncture treatments. However because of new restrictions Amanda's Scorrier Clinic is currently closed and she is prioritising regular clients with urgent/high needs at her Helston clinic.

Your safety is Amanda's priority so she is following all Government Guidelines to ensure her clinics are ‘Covid Secure’:

  • Amanda has carried out a full risk assessment for both of her clinics and adheres to Covid 19 guidelines produced by the government and her professional association the British Acupuncture Council www.acupuncture.org.uk
  • Amanda already has high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in her clinics but the following additional procedures have been put in place:
    • All surfaces that are touched are cleaned and disinfected on a regular basis
    • Extra time is given before and after every appointment to allow for cleaning, and ventilation of the treatment room
    • Appointments have been staggered with other practitioners in the clinic to reduce overlap of clients
    • Where possible soft furnishings have been replaced with wipeable surfaces
    • All blankets, towels and pillow cases are single use and are washed at 60 degrees after each use
    • Amanda will be wearing a mask, and other PPE where appropriate, and will be ensuring that all her clients wear a mask too
